Welcome to Ruins of the Lost!
This game was made for the 7DRL Challenge 2025. I've worked on it from March 1st to March 4th (about 65-70 hours of work). The game is not in it's final version, there are a lot of things to be added and a lot of things to be changed, but due to lack of time I've only had 4 days to make a finished game for the jam.
CONTROLS:
- WASD : Movement
- Mouse : Look
- Shift : Run
- E : Interact
- Left Mouse Button : Shoot
- R : Reload
If you find any bugs or have any suggestions, feedback is welcomed and appreciated!
There is also a a MacOS version BUT ONLY FOR APPLE SILICON.
Have fun and let me know what do you think!

When I found out I could break boxes, it was cool for a while, but then it got repetitive. I may prefer using a crowbar to break them (I played too much half life) instead of guns, but trying out the different guns was somewhat fun. I just ran past the turrets, trying to find the exit, since I didn't get anything for destroying them.
Here's a video of me playing the game
Thank you for trying out the game and for making a video of your gameplay! After the 7DRL Challenge 2025 voting ends I will make some updates for the game. Feedback is greatly appreciated!
Very visually impressive and the level generation mostly worked (sometimes the doorways would get blocked). The game felt overscoped - like it could benefit from some stuff being cut to make the game less confusing (I wasn't exactly sure what my objective was). I also wasn't in love with the turrets and spikes - they felt less threatening than a chasing enemy would be, so I often just ran past them without a second thought.
Thank you for the feedback! The game was made in about 70 hours of work, so there are a lot of things to add / remove / improve. I plan on working a lot more on the game, and thank you for trying the game and for your feedback!
